Mornings and evenings are brighter and lighter, the sun is slowly peeping out through the clouds, buds are emerging from the ground... it can only mean one thing. Spring is on its way! The season of new life, rebirth and growth.
I always look forward to this time of year when we get to sweep away the Winter cobwebs. I do love Winter, but in the UK it can drag out for quite some time and to be honest with you, after Christmas, the novelty does start to wear off a little. But we've done a full cycle of the seasons now and we're back to Spring... well almost - the official date is March 20th but we're getting there by the looks of it. Yay!
At Olivine and Ruby, the black labelled limited edition scents (New Forest Winter and Yuletide in London) have officially been packed away for another year. New Spring inspired fragrances are now taking centre stage and I'm using more fresh and floral scents in my home. My current favourite is the Winchester fragrance which contains notes of baies rose, sweet grapefruit, wild violet, fragrant muguet (lily of the valley), iris and powdery musk.
A new fragrance is also on the horizon... due to be released at the end of this month. It's a traditional fragrance with lots of relaxing connotations so I'm really excited to bring this one to the table. If you'd like a sneak peak, check out the Seasonal Set Spring edition and you might see it make an early bird appearance...
